If you know someone facing an upcoming milestone birthday, it is time to get to planning for a big birthday bash. Milestone birthdays are the perfect time to poke some fun and get some laughs, and there is no better way to do that then by giving the perfect gag gift. Need some great ideas? Here are five awesome gag gifts for a milestone birthday:
Memory loss gifts. Everyone knows that part of growing old is memory loss. Choose a gag gift that hints at your friend’s impending memory troubles and have everyone at the party rolling in laughter. For example, you may choose a book about improving your memory, a fake “memory enhancer” label on a pill bottle, or a memory improvement game. You can even gift a bag of marbles, and specify that it’s to replace the recipient’s lost marbles.
Skin care. Put together a collection of anti-wrinkle serums, skin tightening creams, and “face lift in a bottle” products for a lady approaching a milestone birthday. The more far-out the products are, the funnier your gag gift will be. You may even purchase caulk from the hardware store and make your own label, calling it “super wrinkle cream” or “crack filler.”
For regularity. A funny idea for someone who has a great sense of humor is to put together a “regularity gift basket.” In the basket, include a pack of adult diapers, a fiber supplement, a box of laxatives, and some prunes and/or prune juice.
Funny T-shirts. If you search online, you can find a wide array of funny t shirts designed specifically for those facing their 40th, 50th, 6oth . . . and so on . . . birthdays. Look for t-shirts printed with funny slogans like, “over the hill and ready to roll,” “I make 60 look good,” and “vintage.” To get the entire party involved, purchase shirts for all the guests and wear them at the party in honor of the birthday boy or girl.
A good time for the hard of seeing. This is a great idea for someone who is reaching a 40th or 50th birthday—who is not yet old, but who can still be teased a little bit for aging. Purchase some crossword puzzles, a pair of reading glasses, and a magnifying glass. Throw in some bingo cards and call it “a fun night.”
As you can see, there are a lot of really fun gag gift ideas for that special someone who is reaching a milestone birthday. Of course, use your best judgment when deciding what is appropriate, and keep in mind that the idea is to have fun with it.
